In social studies recently, we began learning about landforms. Once we learned some basics about different landforms (like mountains, plains, valleys), the kids set out to become experts on one landform that they would teach the class about!
We used World Book on-line through the CV library website for our research. After taking notes, the kids had to write a paragraph about what they learned, make a poster, and locate one example of the landform on a US map. Then they hid to present the information to the class!
As the kids prepare to go to intermediate, middle, and high school, I think it is a great practice talking in front of a group of peers! Here are pics!
