Today is Election Day! Every student at school today had the opportunity to also participate in the voting process! Students filled out voter registration cards, became educated about two local charities, and then cast their ballots for which charity would receive a donation from Creek View! The two charities we learned about and chose from are Chrissy's Closet and the Brazos Valley Food Bank! Mrs. Newton did an amazing job putting all this together for our students!
What were we thinking?!?! Halloween, Ren Fest, Chemistry Road Show, and a walking field trip to the fire station all in the SAME week?!?! Needless to say, we should all sleep well this weekend!
We got a little misted on while walking to or from the fire station today, but overall it was a great trip! The kids learned a lot and had a great time seeing the engine, the living quarters, and helping with fire fighting demonstrations. This morning, Dr. Pennington and the Chemistry Road Show came to Creek View! All third and fourth grade students were able to attend the almost-2-hour show! It was amazing! Here are some pictures and videos! Today was our field trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission! This was our first year to bring kiddos to one of their school days. It was hot. It was crowded. But it was pretty cool too! Here are some of my pictures from the day, as well as some photos from parent chaperones! A HUGE shout out to the parents that came and helped with this! It would have been IMPOSSIBLE without your help!! |
