How do you follow a week like Boosterthon??? Why, with cows, pigs, music programs, and counselor lessons, of course!
On Wednesday, the Southwest Dairy Farmers' Mobile Dairy Cow came to Creek View! We met Sonny the Jersey cow and her owner, Larry. Larry taught us about dairy cows and milk!

After Sonny and Larry finished, it was time for the teachers to pay up on our final Boosterthon reward...KISS A PIG!! Mrs. Moring's husband raises pigs in his off time from the Bryan Fire Department, so she brought a piglet to school! I'm not gonna lie....the piglet smelled like poo-poo and we were NOT looking forward to kissing it! :P
After the kissing, the kids got to give the little piglet a pat!
We also had our first counselor lessons of the year with Mrs. Surovick! She came this week to talk to us about emotional regulation and keeping our emotions out of the driver's seat in our brain. Mrs. Surovick also taught us about getting tunnel vision when one of our emotions takes over and that the only things we can control are ourselves and our thoughts!
We also spent some extra time (outside normal CAMP time) with Mrs. Herriage practicing for our upcoming music program! As you can see from the pictures, Mrs. Stasney's homeroom is going to be on the risers on the right side of the stage and Mrs. Dalton's homeroom is going to be towards the left side of the stage (so you know where to sit when you come Thursday night)!
Don't worry! We also spent a lot of time in class working and learning too! :)
