We also got to go to Math Stations for the first time this year! We practiced what stations should look like and sound like. And we had fun working on the various activities with our partners!
Lastly, our counselor, Mrs. Surovick came to our classes to teach us about emotional regulation. She used the characters from "Inside Out" and the analogy of driving a car to teach the kids about regulating their emotions. She reminded us that we all have anger and fear and sadness and disgust and joy inside of us, and that feeling one of those isn't bad. But that we need to make sure we're driving our cars, not letting one of those emotions drive for us!
Whew! I'm exhausted and excited just typing about it all! :) Week 3 is going to be even better!!
